Angus beef is from a cattle breed aptly named the Angus which is considered to be the best tasting beef in the industry. Breeders of Certified Angus Beef employ very selective feeding practices which results in a more marbled meat, a type of meat that has an unsaturated fatty acid called the Omega-3, which can reduce the risk of high blood pressure, can improve blood circulation. Unsaturated fat isn’t at all risk-free; after all, it is still fat. However, unsaturated fats in Angus beef and organic meat are much safer compared to saturated fact, especially when consumed in controlled doses.

Red Tail Farms has and continues to raise Black Angus cattle with superior genetics in carcass traits. All cattle in the Beef Program are raised from calves born on the farm, and raised on a diet of their own mother’s milk, under the best, most humane conditions possible by top management practices. This type of breeding produces a healthy, vigorous calf that will yield the carcass traits most desired in Angus beef.

Red Tail Farm understands that today’s educated consumers want natural, chemical free product therefore all of their cattle are grass fed, a balanced diet of natural feed, Bermuda Hay, and a mix of grasses under Red Tail Farm’s Feed Program. Red Tail Farm’s cattle are all 100% antibiotic, steroid, and hormone free.

Because of the higher production costs, the majority of beef sold for consumption in restaurants, and grocery stores is not chemical free, naturally dry aged beef. It is beef that has been packaged for sale immediately after being processed and chemically treated for tenderizing. Therefore Red Tail Farm’s beef is dry aged for 14-21 days to naturally tenderize the beef. Therefore ensuring a natural chemical free tender juicy cut of beef.
